The Wellbeing Room

Shouting it Out - Emotional Release and Regulation through Yoga with Adele Vincent

Leah Cooper / Adele Vincent Season 2 Episode 31

Welcome to The Wellbeing Room.

In this episode I chat with Adele Vincent, a neuroscientist turned yoga teacher and author.

Adele is experienced in teaching a variety of yoga styles including children's yoga therapy and integrates into all her teachings a wealth of experience from biomedical science, yoga, energy medicine and her own personal life.

Adele has co-authored two children's yoga storybooks: Butterflies Be Gone and Shout it Out.

Listen in as Adele shares:

  • about her career working in neuroscience
  • her definition of emotional expression and resilience
  • how her book "Shout it Out" helps children (and adults) self-regulate their emotional upsets and let go of negative feelings through the use of energy releasing yoga poses and positive affirmations
  • how the connection between the gut and the brain impacts our mental state
  • the role meditation can play in supporting our emotional wellbeing
  • one thing that has improved her own wellbeing and helps her get more out of life.
